With all of this talk about moissanite, many may wonder exactly how this gem is made. Well, it is quite a tedious process and many of the details are not known. What is known is that moissanite single-crystals are made with a patented process that involves a thermal growing process.
After the thermal growing process the gemstone is cut into preforms and then shaped, handcrafted and polished repeatedly with a special tool until the stone is gem-grade.
